Hello, lovely listeners and good morning, Kim.

Wow. Morning everyone. Are you feeling tired today? Oh, I said it's a puffy Monday. Yeah, she's moving energy. We're coming off of a long holiday weekend. Yep. And it's the first of three. Yes, yes. We got two more to go in the next... Yeah, it's December 1st today, so in the next 30 days. Yeah.

So much going on this time of year and change in schedules and change in food intake, change in seasons. Like, oh my gosh, it was all of it here. Uh huh. All at the same time.

And the puffy Monday thing is from the food as you... We were talking before this, before we hit record here and you're saying, Kim, how almost like, almost like an allergic response we can have to certain foods when we change our diet, we have these responses.

And that's where I said, yep, it's kind of a puffy Monday. The body doesn't feel quite as vibrant and healthy today from the added intake of food and different, like the volume and then the different types of food. Yep, yep.

And then, then you add to that, you know, some stress and then you add to that some, you know, interactions and different things. Yeah. Yep.

And... And then the emotional, like, aspect to it too, which is a little bit like it's so, you know, has all those things to it yet. Holidays can be very fun, very satisfying.

And then when they're done, it's almost like a little bit like a grief process, if you will—like not wanting all that fun and enjoyment either to go away because it's just a different experience over the holiday than, you know, air quote "regular life," but in a lot anyway.

It's like this big cauldron and just like too many ingredients in there where it just... No, okay, it doesn't taste good anymore. Exactly.

The foods—I gotta go to that because that was a big part of this feeling.

Okay. Feeling. We all know about emotions. We talked a lot about emotions. And judgments—we talked a lot about judgments.

So we're pushing that aside.

And like Jill says: the food, the puffiness and the allergic reactions—and throat gets scratchy—and we sit there and we want to say, "Oh, I have... I have a virus going on." "Oh, I just... you know... I have a cold coming on."

Nope. I had the flu; I just... I'm so tired.

And we want to run to the doctors.

This is what society has done to us. The mainstream medical: You got a cold; you got a flu; get in; get checked out for this; and then stay away from your friends and family because you might be spreading it around.

Well, what's spreading it is the food.

There's not a virus in the food.

The food is creating an allergic reaction in your body.

And now my nose is getting stuffed up; my sinuses are getting stuffed up; and my throat—you can hear it—that's what is allergies.

It's not like you're getting hives on your body that you would think of an allergy or a throat closing up.

Well technically my throat kind of is—it gets scratchy—and your lymph nodes—you’re like the... I'm going to air quote "strep throat"—that...

There's been a lot of that going around.

But it's actually when people are going in and they're getting tested—they're like: "You're not... You're not positive for strep; you're negative for strep; your culture is negative."

And people are like: "That can't be because my throat's so scratchy and it hurts so bad."

That's a food allergy people!

All the sugars; all the breads; even changing up certain meats they might not eat—now you're eating it—and your body's like: Whoa! Whoa! Whoa! What are you doing?

And then if you're around an area of people that are stressful to you—your body's already on a little bit of high alert—and then so it's in this fight or flight stage or like: I'm not quite for sure where I fit in in this...

A little bit of anxiety; nervousness around certain people.

And then you eat!

So your body's already tried to process those emotions—and then you're eating on top of that—so it correlates that food with that feeling of stress—and it turns into stress in your body.

Yeah. Yeah.

Wow. My throat too is just clearing the throat and—you know—so what can we do?

Here we are: puffy Monday.

So what can we do right now?

Oh my gosh! There's lots of options basically.

Lots of water!

Lots of water! Good healthy clean water—I’m going to say that first off: good healthy clean water!

And then vitamin C!

All of a sudden—the sun is like shining right at me—I’m like: okay sun yes!

Getting outside—even though it's cold out—getting outside and taking those actually good deep breaths might hurt a little bit so don't go too deep—but letting the sun shine on you—oh my gosh! Very healing!

We all know this—we just forget—we don’t do it!

Yeah! That piece!

So extra vitamin D!

This is something I learned working on a clinic a long time ago—as soon as you have an inkling of a potential not feeling great where you might think you have a cold or flu or something like that coming on—they had suggested—and sounds like a lot but I'm going to say it:

100,000! So 100k units of vitamin D daily for three days!

It sounds like a lot—and it is—but it helps kick if you actually have like a true—like illness (I’m going to air quote illness here) coming on—it helps build up your immune system super fast!

Lots of electrolytes—that’s another thing people miss when they eat all this extra different foods—is electrolytes!

And then the other thing is moving the body!

Yeah! Turning to exercise; moving the body!

These are basic things!

Yeah—they are basic!

And then I think there's a mindset one too—which is to give yourself time over the next couple days for your body to rebalance rather than talking ourselves into not feeling well—we can talk ourselves into compassion and understanding for our body—that it needs some time to move through some of these things from this holiday weekend.

And you know if...

I shared with you Kim that I've felt very tired last few days—which is new for me—like I had not been feeling tired—I knew that I had felt very tired much of my life—and more recently I don’t at all—and all of sudden I'm like oh I'm tired again!

I was like—you know what? Okay—it’s alright—holiday season—food changes also change of season—and I’m...

What I'm trying to say is that I'm embracing it and okay with it but I'm not wanting to spiral down into it—in past it would’ve been oh I must be—you know—my immune system's weak or I must be getting cold or I must have been exp...

I would tell myself all those things—and this time I was just like: My body just needs little more TLC right now! And so regularly—I’m tuning in—and one of them—you said it Kim—

Like I could feel how thirsty I am—like really thirsty—like water—I drink water—and an hour later—it’s like I haven’t had enough water—

My skin seemed more dry than usual—it was just taking little time to tune into those things going okay—

What's funny is—you tune into them and then you've got to act on them—

Okay—I need more water maybe little more supplementation right now—

You know—like you said these basic things outside—like do these things—you know—that’d be what I'd say—

Don’t just listen to this—do this—and do them for few days here and see how you can cycle yourself out of this puffy Monday—

Yep—and back into your—you know strength and your balance and vibrancy—

I know we got this!

Me too!

Yes! And I know that this recording—this podcast has its own definitely energetic healing vibration in it—

So tune into that!

Yes tune into that—it does—

And I keep seeing—a spiral up! Like we're spiraling up back into that—

You know—as you said—that balanced wellness where we could go other direction—it’s up to us—

Wonderful!

Thank you Jill! Thank you everyone!

Yes thank you!

Alright everyone till next time!
